Ahead of the release of his new song “Fall in Love” featuring Kwame Eugene, Liberian artist Teddyride revealed that before gaining fame in 2014, his first song “Pretty Mama” featuring Chiller Coolnanee, recorded by Beatz Master Exclusive, had an international sound similar to Wizkid’s style.
According to Teddyride, his original flow is similar to Wizkid’s, which was criticized by many Liberian music critics.
He also stated that his natural sound is not different from artists like Shatta Wale, Timaya, Stonebwoy, and Patoranking, but he had to adapt by performing hardcore Gbema music, which he jokingly says sometimes makes his voice sound like a frog tune.
Teddyride made this statement following consistent criticism from fans about his voice and tone.
