Josephine H. Greaves has publicly denied recent corruption allegations, calling them false and urging a transparent, evidence-based investigation with full due process.

She highlights her 20+ years of humanitarian and development work supporting women and children across Liberia, emphasizing her reputation before entering government service.

Greaves explains that in 2023, while still a private consultant, she helped rural women’s groups write grant proposals for government agricultural funding through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. She says this was professional assistance only, the women’s groups received funds directly, and there is no evidence she personally benefited financially.

She also raises concerns about the Assets Recovery Team’s investigation, claiming she was questioned without legal representation, denied access to the documents being used against her, and later indicted without being shown evidence or given a fair chance to respond.

Her statement ultimately calls for transparency, legal fairness, and answers about whether helping rural women secure grants is now being unfairly criminalized.
